Burgas, dans la deuxième semaine de mai.

Un port de 200 000 habitants sur la côte bulgare de la mer Noire. Les chapitres de la ville restent en anglais.

Four ways in

The city, chapter by chapter

The contest runs six days. These four are what the city is actually made of, and none of them is more than twenty-five minutes from the arena.

Practical notes

What to know
before you book

Burgas is easy in the way that port cities are easy: flat, walkable, and used to people arriving from somewhere else. The contest week is the busiest week of its year, which changes three things.

  • Beds go first. 98 to 99% of the city's rooms are already unavailable for 10–15 May on the main booking sites.
  • Fly to Varna if Burgas is full. Two hours by motorway, coaches every day, and far more seats from European hubs.
  • Bring a jacket. 20–24 °C in the afternoon, and a wind off the bay once the sun drops.
Currency
The euro since 1 January 2026. Cards accepted almost everywhere.
Time
EET, UTC+2 — UTC+3 during contest week, summer time.
Language
Bulgarian. English is common in hotels and restaurants.
Weather, mid-May
20–24 °C by day, sea around 17 °C.
Entry
Bulgaria is in Schengen since 2025. EU and UK passports, no visa for a short stay.
The arena
Arena Burgas, zh.k. Izgrev, bul. Stefan Stambolov 79, 8008 Burgas.
